Very curious about the new In the Mood for Love as well, and the TV show. Surprised that his career has gone that direction.

A lot of auteur filmmakers seem to be getting into extensive movie/TV hybrid projects lately. I think Refn in particular has done quite well in that regard.

19 hours of Kar Wai after a 10-year absence would be really cool. I just hope that there will be an official way to watch Blossoms and we won't have to pirate it.

Yeah, for sure! There's no way I won't watch it, hah.

I always assumed part of the ten year absence had to do with him being a very Hong Kong filmmaker and borderline a political dissident, at least with regard to Chinese authority over Hong Kong.

How can I petition to get added to the Film/TV database? At Fromtheyardtothearthouse.substack.com, I review movies that came out while I was in federal prison, interspersed with insights on incarceration and criminal justice. Five days a week, 100% free. Y/N? What bear must I wrestle?

I’ll watch anything Wong Kar Wai makes. Definitely up for the new version although the original is sort of perfect.

Small correction: WKW’s surname is Wong, not Kar-wai. (A common error!)
